Courses with The Potter of Leith
We offer courses and workshops throughout the year, many with a specialist focus on the potter’s wheel.
We aim to offer free and subsidised access to classes and workshops to those living with poor mental health, social isolation or exclusion.
Beautiful, unique stoneware.
Trading as The Potter of Leith, we produce top quality, high-fired stoneware.
Products include domestic ware and one-off pieces. We supply cafes, bars and restaurants with bespoke tableware.
Reduction Firing in our Gas Kiln.
Leith Community Pottery is home to a unique, gas-fired reduction kiln, one of very few in Edinburgh. Reduction is a highly specialised and increasingly rare technique, used to produce unique and inimitable glazes and finishes in ceramics.
