Leith Community Pottery CIC Relocation Fundraiser Now Live
I’m now actively fundraising to support the considerable cost of relocating Leith Community Pottery CIC to it’s new home at

20 West Shore Rd,
EH5 1QD
The new workshop is bigger, brighter, more spaceous and is being custom fitted, having had the opportunity to work with a blank canvass.
This has, and will continue to, take time and loads of effort and will be quite a challenge to my questionable carpentry skills!
Exascerbated by moving fittings from one crooked-floored space to another……
The cost of the move is considerable, both in terms purchase of fittings and of trades labour. It’s also been necessary to “hibernate” the business for several weeks with significant loss of income.
That said, the aim is to launch Autumn Courses in early October, dates outlined below.
The most significant task outstanding is to move the kiln, 700kg.
That’s planned for mid-September and a contractor has been engaged to crane it onto a flatbed truck.
But first, reverse carpentry skills! I will need to deconstruct the kiln shed, hopefully keeping it in tact for reconstruction at the other end.

Friday 10th October – Friday 5th December
There are 7 places available on each course.
The fee is £435 which includes unlimited clay, all materials, tools, glazes and firing costs. We do not limit kiln space or size / number of pieces. No hidden add-ons!
All work is stoneware, fired to 1285c and is food safe, oven, microwave and dishwasher proof.
A deposit of £135 is required to secure a place.
