THE POTTER OF LEITH

SEPTEMBER ’26 NEWS

First Year at The Pitt

The Pottery has now been established at its new home in West Granton for a year (Wow! Already) and we are delighted to have been accommodated here amongst this vibrant creative community.

We are situated in the South Yard, signposted throughout the site.

The new studio is big (1000 sq ft) with 8 electric wheels and 6 large,

south facing windows.

The Pitt itself is a social enterprise and is home to 7 street food traders, a bar, a live music venue and a variety of other small businesses:

Work of Iron (Artisan Blacksmith)

Access Parkour

Pitt Strength – Gym

Granton Community Bakery

Warren Elsmore – Leggo Sculpture

Lava Town – sound, light, installations

And a variety of others, with new operations set to arrive

over the coming months.

There is ample on street parking and cycle racks are available.

We have our own beach and are home to Soul Water Sauna.

The sauna is heated by burning hardwood logs and the ash is then handed on to the Pottery, where it is processed and turned into our signature glazes.

Brand New Website

Leith Community Pottery has launched a new, updated website for you to peruse.  It was designed and produced by Scott and Gintare at

and features stunning photography by Angel Gonzalez

We are trialling a new on-line booking system for our courses, which seems to be working well.

However, you are still welcome to book by emailing me directly if you have any questions or simply prefer a more personal interaction.

There are some small tweaks still to be made to the new site, which is work in progress. Just a few adjustments to the layout etc. Please feel free to email me with any feedback, thoughts or observations.
